AKB48 22nd Single/2011 Senbatsu General Elections
I want to encourage them to keep up this good attitude, even if they think their hard work through sweat and tears didn't pay off.
I want to hug and tell them I appreciate it, even if they think of giving up.
I want to tell them all they're number 1 to someone, even if they didn't make the Top 40.
There's so many things I want to.
It doesn't matter for I know there're many out there who want to too.
Now, on with the results.

1. Maeda Atsuko – Team A – 139892 Votes – "I thought several things this year. There are so many fans who support me, but I felt alone... I think there are people who hate me, but please, don't hate AKB. I am going to work even harder so that you can recognize me. Yuko, I think you're the one who has always pulled AKB forward. I will be happy if you can support AKB together with me."

2. Oshima Yuko – Team K – 122843 Votes – "Other people say a lot of thing, like "elections should be one vote per person", but for us, number of votes represents your love for us. Hebirote is a song I cherish. I will sing and dance at my best in the next song too. I still haven't received last year's trophy, so give it to me, I want to keep it as a souvenir!"
3. Kashiwagi Yuki – Team B – 74252 Votes – "I wondered if it was ok for me to be 3rd in early announcements. I was scared, but I thought to be here I need ambition. I felt frustrated at being 8th last year. I was cut away from 7 people activities too, but thus won't happen anymore. I'll do my best."
4. Shinoda Mariko – Team A – 60539 Votes – "I felt dizzy everyday, and I felt anxious, but I am grateful for your support."
5. Watanabe Mayu – Team B – 59118 Votes – "Last year I was #5th too, so I feel set here, or rather, relieved. But I won't be manipulated just by (vote) numbers. I'll believe in you and do my best."
6. Kojima Haruna – Team A – 52920 Votes – "This year, too, I was very uneasy over the elction period. The fans told me to relax but after all, I thought of a comment for #10 position. Maybe it's too late for me but from now on I will show you my true power."
7. Takahashi Minami – Team A – 52790 Votes – "My position has lowered, but Takahashi Minami is Takahashi Minami. I'm slowly getting closer to my dream. I will always do my best as a member.The members will increase, come and go, but I want to protect them from this position."
8. Itano Tomomi – Team K – 50403 Votes – "Last year I went from 7 to 4 but this year it went down again... but since there are fans who support me I'll do my best."
9. Sashihara Rino – Team A – 45227 Votes – "I can't believe I'm in media senbatsu. I have never had something I was proud of so far, but I am proud of this number of votes. I'll do my best to have lots of screentime in the next pv."
10. Matsui Rena – Team S – 36929 Votes – "I couldn't even imagine this when I joined SKE. I finally overcame that huge wall."
11. Miyazawa Sae – Team K – 33500 Votes – "Last year I received a wonderful position, but it was a year full of frustrated feelings. This year I will only look forward. I want to become everyone's Sae-chan."

27. Miyazaki Miho – Team B – 9271 Votes – (No speech info. Only that she cried copiously.)
28. Yamamoto Sayaka – Team N – 8697 Votes – "I'll take this result as sign that someone has expectations over me, and I will do my activities to repay even more."
29. Oya Shizuka – Team A – 7264 Votes – "*cries*rapper gesture* Thanks so much for cheering for a talentless person like me for 4 years."
30. Oya Masana – Team S – 6660 Votes – "I didn't think my name would be called. My fans kept telling me to believe in myself. I was led along by those words. Thanks for this beautiful present."
31. Nito Moeno – Team K – 6288 Votes – "Please don't abandon me, and from now on please support me."
32. Komori Mika – Team B – 6177 Votes – (Her words were muffled by her crying.)
33. Hata Sawako – Team S – 6120 Votes – "It's a honour. Thank you. It's not because of my talent that I'm standing here, but thanks to you."
34. Sato Sumire – Team B – 5438 Votes – "*cried tears of frustration for lower position* Last year I was sad to be 31, but I’ll still be myself."
35. Oba Mina – Team 4 – 5411 Votes – "I will show you myself shining and express my feelings of gratitude in new Team 4."
36. Suda Akari – Team S – 5343 Votes – "Thanks for putting me on a new starting line!"

40. Fujie Reina – Team K – 4698 Votes – "I was anxious because I was 40 in the early results. I wanna be a super girl that everyone loves!"
We know that the AKB48 girls are full of initiative but Sae just pushed it one step further with her proposed modeling pose of... pretending to be kissing Sayaka while sitting on her lap.
Sayaka was not amused... I think the last thing that she wants is to be slapped with another 'scandal'.
Sae still likes to interact with her fellow members.
The twin towers before their performance at Music Station (Mステ）last Friday.
Sae-chan, yet again, writes on her hand to encourage herself before a performance.
Plus, I like it that their outfits are striped, but customised to their characteristics.
It took me quite a while and many attempts to complete. Honestly, it's EXTREMELY difficult to make a choice, especially when it comes to the 2 members you like. (Think Sayaka and Sakiko, Sayaka and Sae, Sakiko and Umeda etc.) Anyway, there's no draw to have more accurate results. Despite my support seems evenly spread throughout the 3 teams, my unwavering support remains with TEAM K! Here's my ranking (Click for bigger image):
